2018
To our family and friends,
It has been a great year and we have so much to be thankful for. Camryn turned ONE in April and has been growing so quickly both in development and height! She is developing quite a personality and is becoming very independent. Her sweetness is hard to ignore, but she definitely has a touch of ‘sass’ in her (as her teachers at school like to say).
Our trips were plentiful this year. Camryn experienced camping for the first time with us and the Olson family at Galiano Island over Memorial Day weekend. We also traveled together to Alaska where we met up with friends to see Anchorage, chartered a boat to go salmon and halibut fishing near the Kenai Peninsula, and even visited Briana’s childhood home in Homer. Phillip and I vacationed to San Diego and Portland over long weekends and culminated the year with an amazing trip to Portugal, splitting our time between Lisbon and Porto.
We did several house projects this year including building a deck in the backyard which Phillip, with the help of family and friends, designed and built. It turned out amazing! Camryn is loving the extra space to play and we all enjoyed eating dinners outside during the summer.
Briana has thankfully been given the opportunity this year to work more days at the Seattle Children’s Bellevue clinic so her commute is shorter.
Phillip continues to enjoy the outdoors, finding time to hike, ski, and play soccer. The company he works for, BergerABAM, was fully acquired in June by Louis Berger Group (who previously held a 51% stake in the company). Before the ink was even dry, Louis Berger was then purchased by WSP Global Inc. While only in the early stages of the merger, few things in his daily routine have changed, however, larger changes are expected transitioning from a 250 person firm to a 50,000 person company.
We are so blessed to have the family and friends that we do and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy 2019!
Love,
Phillip, Briana, and Camryn
